✅ #EndTheSem, 👉👈 Waiving of all Academic Submissions

The Union of Nation-builders and Innovators for Transparency, Empowerment, and Development (UNITED) thanks Cebu Institute of Technology - University for heeding the call of the students, as amplified by our CIT University - Supreme Student Government, to #EndTheSem amidst the aftermath of Typhoon #OdettePH. The announcement last December 29, 2021 was a welcome development as students shift their priorities to rebuilding, recovering, and surviving.

However, this did not include the waiving of all pending academic requirements as indicated in our previous solidarity statement. If granted, this would greatly help our fellow Technologian students, especially those residing outside of Cebu who are still struggling to recover from this unfortunate catastrophe.

With this, we reiterate our call for the University to extend its compassion and grant the request to waive all pending academic requirements.

As CIT was founded shortly after the Second World War with the aim of helping the country rebuild, this should be an opportunity for the University to repurpose that aim this time for those affected by the typhoon.
