𝐎𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐘 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 regarding the disqualification complaint against UNITED’s Presidential Candidate Eva Marie Alcansado

The Union of Nation-builders and Innovators for Transparency, Empowerment, and Development (UNITED) and its members and supporters, welcomes the favorable decision of the CIT University Commission on Elections to junk the petition made by the opposing party on May 19, 2023 to disqualify Presidential Candidate Eva Marie Alcansado.

Despite the deliberate efforts made to discredit our leaders’ ability to lead in 2019 (VP Carl Anthony Santander), in 2021 (Pres. Jan Dale Carlo Catalonia), and now 2023 (Pres-elect Eva Marie Alcansado), the CIT University Commission on Elections unanimously ruled that Ms. Eva Marie Alcansado has not violated any provision or rules pertaining to the CIT-U SSG Election Code.

UNITED extends its gratitude to the Commission on Elections for ensuring a fair trial for both UNITED and the complainant. We commend the COMELEC’s efforts in deciding daily in accordance with the rule of law and the principle of due process through the conduct of a series of virtual and in-person hearings to thoroughly investigate this matter.

We also extend our sincerest gratitude to our members and supporters who have rallied behind us to support our fight to defend the presidency of Ms. Alcansado. For the third time in history, we prevailed against petitions to disqualify our winning candidates who have only been eager to serve the Technologian community.

As we move forward, we are humbly requesting for everyone’s support again as we carry out the 9-Point Agenda of the Alcansado Administration and all of our specific plans of action that would benefit the entirety of the Technologian community.

Here in UNITED, we firmly believe that when we strip off our colors and give the best efforts to provide genuine service to the Technologians, we can make a lasting collective impact.
