UNITED celebrates Pride Month 2022

June 6, 2022 - Events & Holidays

The Union of Nation-builders and Innovators for Transparency, Empowerment, and Development (UNITED) joins the LGBTQIA+ community in celebrating Pride Month.

Pride Month is both a celebration to commemorate freedom, expression and unity as well as an opportunity to convey the struggles and issues facing the LGBTQIA+ community. That no matter who you are or who you love, the bravest thing you can be is yourself.

UNITED is proud to have championed the passage of the localized Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression (SOGIE) Equality Act in the CIT University - Supreme Student Government, through the efforts of former Electrical Engineering Representative and President-elect Aldrin Glen Gumandoy along with the support of the entire student government.

We continue to commit ourselves in supporting the members of the LGBTQIA+ community inside and outside the university not just this month, but all year long as we work to include diverse representation in the Technologian community.

To our LGBTQIA+ student leader members, alumni, supporters, volunteers, and allies, Happy Pride Month! 🏳️‍🌈
