Today marks another year of commemorating the Day of Valor, also known as Araw ng Kagitingan, in which we honor our fellow Filipino fighters who sacrificed their lives and helped restore freedom in the Philippines during World War II.

While we celebrate their bravery and courage, let us not forget to also pay tribute to our public servants who continued to work and served the Filipino people while most things were put on hold due to the COVID-19 crisis. Just like the sacrifices of our healthcare workers, they too have put their lives on the front line to protect us.

So, kudos to all the public servants out there who have dedicated their lives to making things work with the new normal. You all truly are our society’s modern-day heroes.
