The Union of Nation-builders and Innovators for Transparency, Empowerment, and Development (UNITED) extends its deepest condolences on the passing of Cebu City Mayor Edgar Labella at the age of 70.

Labella was one of the local government leaders who extended their welcome messages to the delegates of UNITED’s Emerging Leaders Summit last March 20-21, 2021. In his message, he highlighted the importance of "leadership by example" considering it as one of the greatest virtues of a leader. He also emphasized humility as the "mother of all virtues" for those aspiring to become leaders in their own communities.
