Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 1021, dated June 9, 1997, and the Implementing Rules and Regulations of the National Blood Service Act of 1994, July has been designated as National Blood Donors Month.
In line with this observance, the Union of Nation-builders and Innovators for Transparency, Empowerment, and Development (UNITED) will be conducting a UNITEDTalk this July 24, 2021 (Saturday) from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM entitled "Breaking the Stigma on Blood Donation" with the aim of building public awareness of the need for quality and safe blood and encourage regular blood donation.
Our guest speaker will be Mr. John Christian Akjul who is the current Regional Donor Recruitment Officer in the Subnational Blood Center for Visayas.
